That's Not Me!

Ok, check this out. This past weekend, I got into a fight with a friend. Yeah, I know what you are thinking, "We all get into arguements with friends." That's true, but I'm speaking about a real, hard-up fist fight. THAT AIN'T ME! So obviously she did something that really pissed me off. It's a very long story so I'm really not gonna get into that.
Anyway, a couple of days ago I decided to write a poem while in my Literature class (yeah, the class is very boring) about this particular weekend (The fight to be exact). Seeing that fighting is not the type of person that I am, I wrote this poem to clear up some things about the fight. Take a look at this....

“A Fight for Something Small”

This fight is not about strength.

I grow stronger everyday.

This fight is not about popularity.

There are many people who love me.

This fight is not about beauty.

I am exceedingly beautiful. (Inside and Out)

This fight is not about knowledge.

My education is still in progress.

This fight is not about perfection.

Everyone will forever have struggles.

This fight is not to come out on top.

When I came out of the womb,

I knew I would be somebody.

This fight is not about age.

My maturity exceeds the numbers.

This fight is not about salvation.

Psalms 27:1 says, The LORD is my light and my

salvation— whom shall I fear?

The LORD is the stronghold of my life—

of whom shall I be afraid?

This fight is not about character.

Mine will never decrease; only grow.

This fight is not about friends.

My smile helps me keep them.

This fight IS about RESPECT.

This is something I will give and

Surely will receive.

Readily Extending Sincerity Purpose Excitement & Courtesy Throughout
